About TGEM: Our Mission
At TGEM, we recognise that climate change poses the single greatest threat to our planet and everything we hold dear. The escalating impacts of global heating, from extreme weather events to rising sea levels, underscore the urgent need for action. As a response to this crisis, the UK made history by enacting laws to eliminate its contribution to global warming by 2050. The Challenge Approximately 25% of greenhouse gas emissions stem from energy supply, with electricity and heat generation accounting for 30% of the UK's final energy consumption. While renewable sources contribute nearly 36% of electricity and heat, they often rely on heavy subsidies. In contrast, our technology offers a commercially viable alternative, ensuring sustainability without compromise. Innovative Solutions for a Sustainable Future With a burgeoning population producing escalating amounts of waste, traditional waste management practices are no longer sufficient. Despite strides in recycling, dwindling landfill space necessitates innovative solutions for residual waste. TGEM addresses this challenge by pioneering base load Negative carbon energy-generating plants, both domestically and internationally. Our approach utilises Solid Recovered Fuel (SRF) derived from processed domestic and construction waste, undergoing advanced thermal conversion through patented pyrolysis technology. Our Contribution to a Net Negative Future TGEM is committed to achieving the UK's 2050 net Negative targets through tangible actions:
As EU taxes, initiated in the Netherlands, seek to discourage UK waste exports, TGEM stands poised to meet this challenge and capitalise on emerging opportunities. By leveraging innovative technology and sustainable practices, we are charting a course towards a greener, more resilient future for generations to come. |
